The Townsend Harris Writing Center has three main responsibilities:

The Writing Center has launched with the below initiatives. The plan is to grow the Center over time. We will start here:

Writing Tutors will begin to work with seniors in the fall and other grades in the spring. Tutors will meet with seniors who would like a reader for their college application essays. Underclassmen will meet with tutors for help with THHS coursework.

Writing Tutors will be available to meet in person. They will also have remote hours in case students prefer to meet from home. If you would like to learn more about our college essay offerings, click here.

The Writing Center will begin to coordinate professional opportunities for students within the special programs that make up the THHS Writers Academy
